I like the 3D design with the flatter front and back to see all the warm lights on the gold sparkly metal frame. On the remote control, there are various modes for combinations of fade in/out with slow/fast flashing but the one I like the most is a gentle glimmering of the lights that only occur during the first few seconds of the remote's mode 1. Sadly, this glimmering is not a continuous option but all lights on setting (mode8) looks lovely. I had to bend 3 of the tree's top branches to push the star onto to secure the spiral base. I was glad to see it had a UK plug fitted at the end of it's long cable. The star is well made and should last for years, so in my view, well worth the price.
