I bought this monitor almost 18 months ago. It's been great, still working and my experience has been better than expected. I held off writing a review to see if it had any longevity issues. I was familiar with AOC for their standard issue office displays previously.

I would definitely recommend it if you're upgrading from a 16:9 setup and you're just getting into ultra-wide displays. There aren't any added features such as a hub, and the stand doesn't have much height adjustment, maybe just enough if you sit low in your chair. I've had mine vesa mounted for at least a year, no issues there.

The monitor uses a VA panel, in fairness it doesn't have the worst viewing angles I've encountered. If you're sitting perpendicular to the screen (like you normally would) you're great, if you go past maybe 30° or 40° from the centre the far side is going to get obscured, this doesn't come up often though. Doesn't have much effect looking down when you're standing up, for example.

While not being HDR capable (I mean, it's £250) the adaptive brightness feature has been enough for me, setting it in the OSD. It's blacks get deep enough, with that extra setting on, it feels darker than it probably is - which is good. It's colour accuracy overall is okay, I've only had to rerun prints (phtographs) a couple times in the past.

The 100 Hz refresh is nice, you feel it during productivity and gaming. It's just enough over 60 to feel smoother. I've used higher refresh displays, gains become marginal over the 100-ish mark, so I've been happy.

The on-screen display (OSD) is classic style, navigating with the buttons along the bottom, easy enough to use once you get the hang of it. Nothing special, but I'd recommend the adaptive brightness. Apart from that there's isn't much to say about it.

Overall, definitely recommend, fantastic for productivity and certainly capable for gaming on a budget.

So this monitor works well with MacBook 2013 retina, using supplied HDMI cable, screen is working in 1440 mode no scaling, using this screen layout I can have upto 3 documents side by side almost, 2 document or web screens for sure.
No additional adjustments needed.
The view on this 34” size of screen is just about right for my purposes, viewing multiple documents.
For our needs this screen resolution is fine. To hdmi sockets and DP socket. I haven’t tested with new Mac mini m4, will do when it arrives.

So this monitor works well with MacBook 2013 retina, using supplied HDMI cable, screen is working in 1440 mode no scaling, using this screen layout I can have upto 3 documents side by side almost, 2 document or web screens for sure.
No additional adjustments needed.
The view on this 34” size of screen is just about right for my purposes, viewing multiple documents.
For our needs this screen resolution is fine. To hdmi sockets and DP socket. I haven’t tested with new Mac mini m4, will do when it arrives.

Il primo acquisto è stato un calvario perchè PosteItaliane ha smarrito (così dicono) il pacco quindi dopo 5 giorni di attesa ho chiesto la sostituzione ad Amazon e me ne hanno inviato un altro a costo zero.

Dopo due settimane mi accorgo che purtroppo il pannello "trascina" molto le parti nere delle schermate: ad esempio quando si trascina la schermata nera delle impostazioni di windows si crea un effetto scia che mi è risultato fastidioso.
Ho deciso di renderlo perchè ero ancora in tempo e ho optato per altri monitor
