      Given 4 stars as it can be a bit irrational at times and sometimes gives al different readings, so I’m not sure of how accurate it is. I have also compared with our thermapen and there can be some differences, however to provide ann indication of temp, it works ok.

      It's simple to use and accurate enough for my pizza making efforts.
      An infra-red thermometer is used to measure the temperature of the pizza stone on which you will place the pizza to be baked. An air thermometer measures the air temperature of the oven, which bakes the top of the pizza. The oven thermostat measures the air temperature, or you can use an oven thermometer.
      You should insert the pizza only when the stone and the air temperatures are roughly equal. In my fan oven it takes my pizza stone 40 minutes to reach a temperature of 250 degrees C, whereas the air in the oven takes only 25 minutes to reach 250.
