Well made and innovative.
In this age of computers and rechargeable devices I constantly find myself in need of different cables. I thought I had all bases covered, having amassed a significant number of cables with different fittings to cater for all my devices. I also have quite a few adapters, just in case. Then along came this cable that has a significant difference. I spend most evenings in my TV room watching films under blackout conditions and usually have my phone nearby charging up for the next day. I don't like to leave the phone on charge past about 98% full as I have read that can lead to deterioration of the battery and so I make periodic checks on the state of charge. If the film I am watching is on a dark scene then I can have trouble locating the phone. That is where these cables come in. These are the only cables that I have seen that have a little blue indicator light at the base of the lightening plug which lights up when the cable is plugged into a charging unit. This is not too bright, which is a good thing, but is bright enough to guide you to the phone when it is on charge. Brilliant. I had to try them. The cables came as a pair, each 2 metres in length and are USB A to USB C. They have a nice supple braided skin, which is one of the better ones for straightening out once unpacked. The terminations are very robust looking and the junction between cable and connectors is adequately long and has a little flexibility. This junction is very important as it is where the majority of cable failures will occur. These are not the thickest of cables but I feel that they will be robust due to the quality of build. I do like to use thicker cables because, although there is no guarantee, it does give you a chance of having thicker wires and the thicker wires means less resistance to the passage of any signal. In use these cables performed well and I have no complaints about their speed although it is difficult to make direct comparisons to other cables because of the many variables at play. They worked with all my rechargeables with no issues and although some of those devices were not USB C input I was able to fit small adapters to widen the cable's versatility. These are well made and innovative cables which have certainly found a use in my setup. I expect them to be durable and feel the offer price of £6.28 for two to be excellent value.
