This is now my third LG OLED tv and they have all served me well with no burn in over the years. I bought this smaller 42 inch tv to use as a computer monitor and I am so pleased to have upgraded as it replaces two monitors, is great for photos, work, films, and games.

Mine is paired to an MSI 4080 and a 5800X3D and gaming on this is unreal, best PC gaming experience ever for me. Returnal with DLSS set to balanced, HDR on and getting a solid 110-115fps absolutely maxed is a thing of beauty. Forza Horizon 5 is also one of the best things I've ever seen, I feel priveleged to have eyes.

I've seen others saying they've had issues as a monitor but for me, out of the box, HDMI 1 set to PC, game mode and 144Hz activated and it's been perfect.

I paid £530 for this on offer and it was worth every penny. I've got a 65" G3 in the same room and it's difficult to tell a difference in image quality, it's absolutely phenomenal.

Fatally flawed for PC use

This by all rights should be 5 stars. The picture is gorgeous. The sound is amazing. But there's a couple of flaws and a fatal flaw. So much so I'm considering returning this as not fit for purpose.

Minor flaw 1: Complex menu system where you think you've disabled something only to find another variation of it elsewhere. It's a hot mess.

Minor flaw 2: It's invasive from a privacy perspective. You got to agree to everything in order for it to work which includes not only your viewing habits but everything else that may have been on your screen. So for PC use this could be a problem.

Fatal Flaw: Auto dimming. There's no way to switch this off completely. Anywhere. That means after about a minute everything goes dimmer to the point where it's actually worse contrast than the IPS panel it replaces. Turns out this is a known issue. The only way to make it brighter again, even though my brightness is only set to 60 or so percent is to start moving your windows around on screen. So it's main advantage for PC use as a high contrast screen is lost. Pointless. This is a known issue.

Bottom line. If your using this as mainly a PC display (with occasional Prime and Netflix etc) then you are not going to like it.
